In the context of the Pakistan Army, “AMC” refers to the “Army Medical Corps.” The Army Medical Corps is a specialized branch of the Pakistan Army that is responsible for providing medical care and services to military personnel. The AMC plays a crucial role in ensuring the health and well-being of soldiers and supporting the overall medical needs of the armed forces. The Army Medical Corps is composed of medical professionals, including doctors, dentists, nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare personnel. Their responsibilities include: Medical Care, Medical Research, Hospital Management, Preventive Medicine, Combat Medical Support. Army Medical Cadets play a vital role in the Pakistan Army’s healthcare system. They are highly trained and skilled professionals who are committed to providing the best possible care to their patients.
AMC Eligibility Criteria:
Age: To join Pak army as Army medical cadet, you must be between the ages of 17 and 21.(three months of relaxation on the lower and upper age limit)
Marital Status: Unmarried
Nationality: To join AMCPakistan, you must be a Pakistani citizen.
Height: Minimum 5’4 (162.5 cm)
Weight: According to Body Mass Index (BMI)

Qualifications:
- You must have passed FSC (Pre-Medical) with at least 70% marks, or A-level Biology, Physics, and Chemistry with at least a grade C.
- If you are from Balochistan, Sindh (District Tharparkar, Omar Kot), Northern Areas, Azad Kashmir (Upper Neelam valley), or FATA, you can apply with at least 65% marks.
- If you have foreign qualifications, you must obtain an Equivalence Certificate and conversion of marks from Inter Board Committee of Chairman, Ministry of Education, Islamabad.
- If you have passed FSc Part-1 with at least 70% marks and are appearing in FSc Part-III Final Examination, you can also apply with a “HOPE Certificate” from the Head of your institution. However, you must deposit an attested copy of your FSc Part-II Certificate Mark Sheets to PA Directorate (PA.3CI GHO Rawalpindi within 5 days of the announcement of the result; otherwise your selection will not be processed further.
Ineligibility Conditions
- You cannot apply to be an Army Medical Cadet if:
- You have been rejected by the ISSB twice.
- You have been found to be medically unfit by the CMH Appeal Medical Board.
- You have been found to be medically unfit due to hepatitis B/C.
- You have been dismissed or removed from any academy/institution of the Armed Forces (Army, Navy, and Air Force) for any reason.
- You have been dismissed or removed from any other government position.
Online Registration:
Candidates can apply online for the AMC through the official website www.joinpakarmy.gov.pk.of the Pakistan Army by filling out an online application form. Candidates can register for the Army Medical Cadet test at their nearest Army Selection and Recruitment Center (AS&RC).The test date and time will be emailed to candidates. Candidates must report on the date and time given for the preliminary tests with their computerized roll number slip. The test date cannot be changed. Candidates must also bring the documents and pay the prospectus fee on the day of the test.

Initial Tests:
AMC candidates must pass the following initial tests:
- Verbal Test (84 questions, 30 minutes)
- Non-Verbal Test (64 questions, 30 minutes)
- Academic Test (50 questions, 25 minutes)

Initial Medical:
Army Selection and Recruitment Centers (AS&RCs) will conduct the initial medical examinations. The purpose of the initial medical examination is to ensure that candidates are physically and mentally fit for military service. Candidates who do not pass the initial medical examination may be given an opportunity to undergo further testing or treatment. If a candidate is still unable to pass the medical examination, they may not be eligible to join the AMC.
Rank: Upon successful completion of training, you will be commissioned as a Captain in the Pakistan Army.
Documents Requirement:
Documents Required for Army Medical Cadet Registration at AS&RCs
- Attested photocopy of matriculation certificate or equivalent certification issued by the IBCC (for O’ Levels/A’ Levels)
- Attested copy of computerized CNIC or NADRA Form B
- Attested copies of FSc Part-I (Pre-Medical) marks certificate and “Hope” certificate from college principal that the candidate will get at least 70% marks in FSc Part-II Examination (or attested copy of Detail Marks Sheet (DMC) if FSc Part-II (Pre-Medical) has already been passed)
- Attested passport-size photograph pasted on the application form
- Crossed postal order for Rs. 100.00 made out to the Director-General Personnel Administration (DGPA) at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi
Army Medical Cadet Provincial Entry Test Requirements
- Candidates must have appeared or registered for a fresh provincial entry examination as eligible (e.g., ETEA, UHS, MCAT, NUMS, AJ&K State exam).
- Candidates must indicate the name of the university they are applying to on the application form (Army Medical College Rwp or CMH Lhr Medical University).
- Candidates can also prioritize colleges according to their preferences.
- Candidates must carefully specify their choice of colleges when registering online.
- Candidates who have not appeared in or registered for their respective regional exams are not eligible to apply.
