Pak PN Cadet stands for Pakistan Navy Cadet. It is a young individual who is training to become a commissioned officer in the Pakistan Navy.PN Cadets undergo a rigorous training program at the Pakistan Naval Academy (PNA) in Karachi. The program lasts for 18 months and covers a wide range of subjects, including naval warfare, navigation, engineering, and leadership.Upon successful completion of the training program, PN Cadets are commissioned as Sub-Lieutenants in the Pakistan Navy.If you are a young Pakistani male who is interested in a challenging and rewarding career in the Pakistan Navy, then the PN Cadet program may be right for you.

Eligibility Criteria for PN Cadet

Age:

Civilians: 16.5 to 21 years

Service candidates: 17 to 23 years

Height: Minimum 5′ 4″

Marital status: Unmarried male

Qualification:

60% marks in Matric/O level in Science

60% marks in F.Sc/A level with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry OR Physics, Mathematics, and Computer Science OR Physics, Mathematics, and Statistics

For  FSC pre medical students: By giving additional Math papers (Part-I-II).

PN Cadet Ineligibility Criteria

The following candidates are ineligible for the PN Cadet program:

 

  1. Candidates who have been rejected twice by the ISSB.
  2. Candidates who have been screened out twice by the ISSB.
  3. Candidates who have been tested within four months (120 days) of their previous appearance in the ISSB, unless they have been granted a waiver by the competent authority. However, this bar does not apply to candidates appearing in the GHQ/NHQ/AHQ selection board.
  4. Candidates who have been dismissed, removed, or debarred from government services, including the armed forces.
  5. Candidates who have been convicted in a court of law for any heinous offense.
  6. Candidates who have been permanently declared unfit by the Appeal Medical Board (AMB).
  7. Candidates who have been declared medically unfit due to Hepatitis B and C.
  8. Candidates who have been withdrawn from any bonded armed forces college or institution on disciplinary grounds.
  9. Candidates who have been withdrawn, discharged, resigned, or purchased their commission from any armed forces officers academy or training institution on any ground.
  10.  If you try to cheat your way into the Armed Forces by tampering with your academic certificates, forging documents, or hiding important information, you will be caught and banned from ever serving in the military.

Test Pattern for PN Cadet Initial Tests 

Intelligence Test

Total questions: 100 Total time /  40 minutes/Pass marks: 50%

Verbal intelligence test (25 questions)Non-verbal intelligence test (75 questions)

Academic Test

Total questions: 75 to 100 / Total time: 30 to 40 minutes / Pass marks: 50%

English test

Mathematics test (optional)

Physics test (optional)

General knowledge test 

Online Registration:

Candidates can apply online for the  PN cadet through the official website www.joinpaknavy.gov.pk.of the Pakistan navy by filling out an online application form.The test date and time will be emailed to candidates. Candidates must report on the date and time given for the preliminary tests with their computerized roll number slip. The test date cannot be changed. Candidates must also bring the documents  and pay the prospectus fee on the day of the test. Candidates must have basic computer skills..

PN Cadet Selection Process

The PN Cadet selection process consists of the following steps:

 

Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted based on their academic performance and other criteria.

Preliminary medical/interview/PET: Shortlisted candidates are called for a preliminary medical examination, interview, and physical efficiency test (PET).

ISSB test/interview: Only shortlisted candidates as per merit are called for a test and interview at the Inter-Services Selection Board (ISSB).

Medical examination: ISSB recommended candidates are called for a medical examination at a CMH or PNS Shifa.

Final selection: The final selection is done by Naval Headquarters in order of merit.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) Standards

The PET standards for PN Cadet candidates are as follows:

Running: 1.6 km in 8 minutes

Push-ups: 15 repetitions in 2 minutes

Sit-ups: 15 repetitions in 2 minutes

Chin-ups: 3 repetitions in 2 minutes
